Sharp Dressed Man, ZZ Top, fingerstyle guitar arrangement

"Sharp Dressed Man" is a song performed by ZZ Top from their 1983 album Eliminator. If you enjoy the song and my guitar arrangement please click like and share!

Welcome to my weekly solo guitar arrangement video! The subtitle for today's post should probably be "Why so serious?" since the past few posts were a bit more somber with appreciations to dead musicians and such... So, I'm breaking it up a little bit. Still, guitar wise, some interesting and challenging stuff went into it, having to play continuous 8th notes on the 5th string, with a backbeat, while playing 4th intervals on strings 2 and 3 while muting strings 6, 4 and 1 was a challenge. It was also important to play nothing but the 4th interval, I didn't want to color the chords as minor or major, but keep the color close to the original sound. Dedicated this week to my friends at the Detroit Guitar Players group. As always, please "like", share, comment, and above all, enjoy!

Clean shirt, new shoes
And I don't know where I am goin' to.
Silk suit, black tie,
I don't need a reason why.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

Gold watch, diamond ring,
I ain't missin' not a single thing.
And cufflinks, stick pin,
When I step out I'm gonna do you in.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

Top coat, top hat,
And I don't worry coz my wallet's fat.
Black shades, white gloves,
Lookin' sharp lookin' for love.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.
